Central Regional standout athlete Kalyph Hardy announced Thursday he will not wrestle during his senior season.
Hardy was a guest on the Barnabas Health Care High School Football Show on 105.7 FM with Kevin Williams, Ed Sarluca and Matt Harmon talking about this past football season. Hardy ran for over 2,000 yards and led the Golden Eagles to a 5-5 record and their first playoff appearance since 2001. He is being recruited by several FCS programs on the east coast
Hardy finished third in New Jersey at 160 pounds last season as a junior, going 39-1, but said his heart was not into wrestling anymore. He concludes his career with 75 wins and was also the 2011 Region VI champ at 160 pounds.
